This big bee has thick even yellow hair on its thorax and uppermost abdominal segments and a small but distinct black spot on its scutum. It has dark wings and a black vertex.
This bee was feeding on flowers of garlic mustard plants growing on side of the outdoor rink in Ramsden Park on a mostly sunny day with a high temperature of 18C.

This bee was scrutinizing the blossom of a chicory growing on the east side of the municipal parking lot to the south of Basil Johnston Lane near Ramsden Park in the Yorkville neighborhood of the city of Toronto, before landing on it.
After doing a bazillion emails today, I had to take a break and go outside! Walked around Village Creek Natural Area for a bit.
