Growing on cut surface of hardwood stump
Growing from log (debarked) in primarily oak and hickory woods; pore surface unstaining when handled.
Found growing on oak log, single shelf spongy all over. Mixed hardwoods mainly oak. No noticeable odour. Slow to stain brown after handling
Left specimen is Trichoglossum sp. found next to them. Among moss; side of path. Mossy woods.
comparing to C. subconnexa.. currently drying for sequencing
micro taken at 1000x. mounted in KOH with congo red stain
