The hawk subject was performing a behavior I had not seen a hawk do before. It was scratching through the leaf litter, primarily with its feet but moved some leaves with its beak twice, looking for something for over 20 mins. It did not visibly look like it ever found anything.
Black neck and head with white cheeks. This species are native to cold temperatures and regions such as North America and they’ll eventually reach Northern Europe.
