Morning commute

I've been nearly exclusively taking the but on campus this semester and abstaining from my usual ~hour walk a day. While I don't see as many cool things to put on iNaturalist, I do save some of my time to work on my dissertation, which I desperately need to focus time towards. For whatever reason, this particular day I walked for the first time in a long while. It's also the summer in Florida...
Regardless, Mother Nature was kind and had a lot to show off that morning. I believe this was the second only time I've seen a Green Heron, the first being at Lake Alice. They are quite comedic, with necks reminiscent of a cherry-picker, and abrupt calls. There were also two alligators and an Anhinga. Overall, a great walk.
