Weather: ~55 degrees F, cloudy
Habitat: Marshy wetland forest. Two ponds provide habitat for wading birds and other animals such as maturing tadpoles. This natural area is directly next to a main road and other human traffic which would deter some species.
Number of Individuals: 23
Species: Black-capped Chickadee (3 plus audio), Song Sparrow (3 plus audio), House Sparrow (6), Tufted Titmouse (at least 2; audio only), Northern Cardinal (1 plus audio), Mallard (1), Belted Kingfisher (audio only), Blue Jay (audio only), American Crow (2).

Location: University of Vermont campus
Weather: ~55 degrees F, sunny
Habitat: Very urban area, high foot and car traffic. Many non-native vegetative species are present and grass is routinely mowed/ managed.
Number of Individuals: 80
Species: Black-capped Chickadee (8), European Starling (48), American Robin (14), Red-Tailed Hawk (1; in flight), Ring-billed Gull (2), Rock Pigeon (2), Mourning Dove (1), House Sparrow (2), Common Grackle (1), Hairy Woodpecker (1).
