Lake Creek December COLD Visit - 9 Dec 2017

Thanks to Kathy McCormack, I have basic data to complete the year.
I had just returned from a trip, and was getting very sick. Kathy braved the elements and visited the site to record environmental measures.

Environmental Conditions (at 18:35):
Air Temp: 16.0C
Water Temp: 11.4C
Sky: 0 (clear)
Water Level: MAA++ - much above averrage since water was flowing an inch deep over the dam
Relative Humidity: 45%

No amphibians were detected during the visit.

On to 2018!!

Lake Creek Amphibian Watch - January 13, 2018

It was quite chilly on our first outing of the new year. We decided to limit the listening time to one 15 minute period, and then to visit the limestone wall for another 15 minute period. Thanks to Bill and Mikael for coming out this evening.

Environmental Conditions (at 17:50):
Air Temp: 5.1C
Water Temp: 10.7C
Sky: 0 (clear)
Water Level: AA - Above Average
Relative Humidity: 36%

General Observations:
The creek bottom below the dam still held some pools of water from December flooding.

Amphibian Watch Report:
We did not hear or see and amphibians at the dame site.
However, we did spot a Gulf Coast toad tucked deep int a crack between two massive ground-level limestone blocks at 'The Wall'. The toad was too far down to get a photo.

Looking forward to warmer weather in February (but you never know).
