I'm a PhD student at the University of Alberta, studying disjunct populations of arctic and alpine plants at Lake Superior. I've spent 15 years botanizing around the boreal forest regions of Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and the NWT. Vascular plants are my main love, but I also dabble in birds, lichens, and the odd insect.
