Born and raised in the Bay of Islands, in the bush, on and in the water, the natural world has always been a source of fascination. Now an urban dweller and mother, I am curious and concerned about people's relationship with nature and look out for details everywhere I go. I am a co-founder and curator of The Kauri Project, bringing arts, science and mātauranga Māori together to build awareness of kauri dieback and discussion around forest health, indigenous ecosystems and the relationship between people and nature.
