I was born in the Eastern US, and my age is over 55 years. I live in Virginia and have lived in Michigan and Kentucky. I went to Warren Wilson College in N. Carolina for 2 and a half years, and I graduated from Germanna Community College in Locust Grove, Virginia and got an Associates in General Studies there. I went to Virginia Commonwealth University for 1 year. As a teenager I vacationed at Big Meadows on the Skyline Drive in Virginia and hiked along some of the Appalachian Trail there with my family. And as a teenager I hiked along trails in West Virginia's Dolly Sods with an outdoor hiking group and on Old Rag Mountain trail in Virginia and along a trail in Back Bay Wildlife Refuge in Virginia. I also hiked in the N. Carolina Smokey Mountains with a friend as a teenager. I tried gardening in Michigan with a family member of mine from 2013 to 2016, and I lived in Michigan for over 15 years. I am in Virginia now, and I started using the iNaturalist app in April 2024.
