Since moving from the "urbs" to right here next to Mount Diablo in 2019, I've fallen in love with this place. For me learning the names of local flora and fauna is a way of putting down roots. My first loves when I got here were all the wonderful birds, especially the raptors. Just recently I've developed a passion for wildflowers--but I'm eager to get to know the whole biome. I'm volunteering with the Mount Diablo Interpretive Association (MDIA).
