Trained as a biologist, I lead watershed and river conservation organizations. I've never lost my love of the natural world and desire to know the names of everything I see. I especially value the use of iNaturalist for science and hope that some of my observations are useful. While I will make observations anywhere, I mostly travel the southwestern US. I live in the Verde Valley of Arizona and in the Los Angeles area, near the San Gabriel Mountains.
