I have quite an interest in invertebrates - particularly beetles. Mainly a spare time after-hours thing, although I'm fortunate enough to work as Museum Director at the South Canterbury Museum in Timaru where, amongst many other things, I oversee the collections of local natural history specimens, work on occasional natural history exhibitions, assist with educational programs and identify spiders in jars for members of the public on a semi-regular basis. Very interested in patterns of distribution and the relationships between landscapes and speciation in native invertebrates.
