I am a volunteer steward at Theodore Stone Forest Preserve in Cook County, IL, a 140-acre site with remnant prairie, morainal oak woodland, and wetland habitats among more degraded sections. These ecosystems support 390 native plant species along with abundant wildlife. New flora and fauna have been discovered here every year and documented on iNaturalist.

I am a member of the Illinois Native Plant Society (and currently Vice President of the Northeast Chapter), the Dragonfly Society of the Americas, Habitat 2030, the Cook County Stewardship Council Steering Committee (currently Vice Chair), and the Forest Preserve District of Cook County Key Stewards. I am also a monitor with the Plants of Concern program which tracks E/T species throughout the Chicago region.
