I am a 4th grade teacher in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. I have always loved natural history and have enjoyed documenting and observing plants and animals since I was a kid. I am a big proponent of gardening with native plants and have spent the past couple of years establishing a wide variety of wildflowers, grasses, shrubs, and trees within my parent's small suburban lot. I am currently putting in a pollinator garden at our elementary school with the help of some 5th and 6th graders this spring!
