I retired from the University of Delaware department of Entomology & Wildlife Ecology in 2009 where I had been studying termites. I have a special fondness for acalypterate Diptera, especially leaf-mining Agromyzidae having done my masters on that family in the 1960’s. My doctorate at NCSU was in agricultural entomology and now I am expanding to native plants and their insect communities.
