I tore up my yard to build a pollinator garden, but then I became as curious about the pollinators that I was trying to host as I was with the plants I was introducing. So now I travel around the state surveying bees for the Oregon Bee Project's Atlas during bee season and try to identify them when they're out of season. And am still starting native plants from seeds I gather. All good healthy fun!
