The Nature Guardians is a Chapter of the NS Young Naturalists Club, and is targeted towards 10-14 year olds. We take once-a-month field trips to awesome natural spaces in the HRM to learn about plants, birds, rocks, fungi, the stars, and lots of other cool natural wonders!

Nature Guardians lead hands-on conservation projects in the HRM and, of course, we have fun! This program takes an open, group-oriented approach where our youth participants help plan what we do each month. Recently, the Nature Guardians planned and implemented a number of stewardship projects at Shubie Park in Dartmouth, including native species plantings, on-going water quality monitoring, and nest box installations. Are your nature nuts interested in real conservation action? New participants are always welcome!
