A Murmuration of Starlings

Not quite a murmuration of European Starlings, those immense mesmerizing flights of thousands of birds, but a few dozen of these iridescent birds visited our yard this afternoon. The snow having just melted from the yard, the Starlings and a number of other birds took a sudden interest in the newly unveiled leaf litter.
