The Great Kererū Count 2017 has ended.

What a massive effort with this year’s Great Kererū Count.
Over 5600+ Observations and more than 12,900+ Kererū counted over the last 10 days.
Thank you all so much for your hard work.

Thanks to WWF-New Zealand, Wellington City Council, Victoria University of Wellington and all the other wonderful supporters we had across the country.
Big thanks to all the curators at NatureWatch NZ that were hard at work behind the scenes for the last 10 days.

And most of all an ENORMOUS THANKS to everyone in New Zealand that took part in the Great Kererū Count 2017. We could not have done this without your support and love for kererū. So thank you again for helping us making kererū count.

Finally, If you still have kererū observations to be entered for the dates 22nd September to 1st October - please get them in as soon as possible.

Thanks again.
