Wild Groombridge grows!
We're still a small group of volunteers, but word is spreading in the village and more and more people are asking about the project.
Even better, we've been asked to take part in other projects around the village to protect wildlife and help habitats.
We're working with the Parish Council to look after the small pond at Park Corner - our first step being a detailed survey. And, also with the Parish Council, we've begun a Wild Verge Trial outside the council offices.
We hope to work with the Owl and Raptor Centre at Groombridge Place to establish nesting boxes across the village, and with the Scout group to carry out regular surveys on a local farm.
