What is the effective date of this Taxon Swap? The Title here states "(Draft)," but I have observations that were previously Diamorpha smallii, that are now Sedum smallii. I never received notice of the change.
Also, are there specific references from the scientific literature to justify this change? Where can I read about the justification?
Thanks
There is no effective date for the change, but I can swap it immediately. I was discussing this swap with @wildlandblogger and never committed it. Essentially, iNat follows POWO as a backbone for vascular plant taxonomy, who sink Diamorpha into a more broadly defined Sedum.
Unintended disagreements occur when a parent (B) is
thinned by swapping a child (E) to another part of the
taxonomic tree, resulting in existing IDs of the parent being interpreted
as disagreements with existing IDs of the swapped child.
Identification
ID 2 of taxon E will be an unintended disagreement with ID 1 of taxon B after the taxon swap
If thinning a parent results in more than 10 unintended disagreements, you
should split the parent after swapping the child to replace existing IDs
of the parent (B) with IDs that don't disagree.
