These Ventura ponds are for the birds (and birders).

Located near the corner of Spinnaker Drive and Angler Court, the gate to the ponds is open seven days a week, but is expected to be closed Black Friday, an extension of the planned closure for Thanksgiving. The 20-acre site is called the settling ponds because the manmade beds collect treated water discharged from an adjacent wastewater plant.
