More news on spotted lanternfly

Hi All,

Thanks for keeping up the great reporting work while this ODA Noxious Weed Control staffer has been out in the field keeping other noxious weeds at bay! The response has been just incredible, and with all the work the identifiers have been doing (oh, yeah, you know who you are...) more than 98% of the observations are at research grade!

To give you more incentive to keep up the good work here is a firsthand reminder of what we are working to avoid:

Great Tree-of-heaven ID Tool

A shout out to @tephra_bates for mentioning this really well done tree-of-heaven ID tool in one of their comments! It is a great one to review, and when you are posting please be sure to get detailed photos that show some of these features, especially the glandular "teeth" (small lobes at the base of the leaflets), triangle or heart-shaped bark scars, and/or flowers and seeds.

We are right on the verge of breaking 1,000 observations today! I'd really love to see if we can get any along the coast and in central Oregon. I'm guessing they are lurking out there somewhere....
