Vote for the April Photo-observation Winner

Last month's winner, Larry Clarfeld, selected 4photo-observations as finalists from all of the April images. With your help, one of these finalists will be crowned the April winner. Please comment indicating the numbers of your favorite shots. You get 3 votes. Place them wherever you'd like. You can put them all with one photo-observation or spread them out. The choice is yours. And be sure to get your photo-observations entered this month for a chance to be the May winner!

Discover Biodiversity Locally, Tally Globally

GNP_hero_snapshot2015_04_02b

From May 15th to May 25th, people all over the world are documenting biodiversity for the Global Snapshot of Biodiversity 2015. All observations submitted to iNaturalist will automatically be added to this global bioblitz tally. Let's put Vermont biodiversity on the global map. How many species can we find in Vermont during this 11-day event?  Record every species you discover and add them to iNaturalist Vermont. You can see a live feed of the global tally, or our Vermont tally.

Help Identify Observations

Are you good at identifying a certain group? We have thousands of observations that need an identification. Visit this link, http://tinyurl.com/olqlybm, and help your fellow naturalists learn and the database grow. You can even filter the list to show just the groups you'd like to examine, like plants, birds or certain insects. Who can identify the most?
